Step-wise Instructions to Update QuickBooks Company File to the Current Version

Here are the steps to upgrade older company file to work in the latest version of the QuickBooks desktop.

  • Log in to Windows as an administrator.
  • Get the latest version of the QuickBooks desktop.

  • Next, prepare the company file:
  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Then, open the company file you want to update.
  3. Open the Product Information window by pressing the F2 key.
